Koal is an 8 year old Black Lab/German Shepard mix.  He is a true family dog, having been raised around children ranging in ages from infancy to teen.  He is an indoor dog, housebroken and slightly territorial (only barking).  Koal is trained in basic commands such as "sit, stay, lay down" and learns new tricks and behaviors at a very quick pace.  He adjusts well to new environments and has shared his home with other pets including cats and dogs.  He is not destructive, likes to lounge around, play and acts more like a person than a dog.  He loves to be brushed and has no special diet restrictions.  His shots are up-to-date.  Koal is dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.  The only reason we want to find a new home for Koal is because we lost our home in a fire and can't take him to our new residence.  He is such a part of our family and we are hoping another family will feel the same way about him!
